A few thoughts in letter form this week as inspired by thxthxthx and Tia
Blogger,
I don't know if I am being a total numb nut, but all of a sudden I can't import my beautiful blog to facebook, not through Notes, NetworkedBlogs or any other number of applications. It says my feed doesn't exist, why is that? Please fix it soon. Or I may start using tumblr more.
A long time Blogger user.
Dear Monday,
Please stop sucking. I hate waking up on a Monday feeling like I'm going to be rushing from 8am until 12am, it is not a good feeling. Please show me some brightness in each day.
A Monday Morning Blues Sufferer.
Dear Body,
After cycling for nearly 2 months, and doing a minimum of 24 miles a week, please tell me why I have not shed a single pound? What is up with that? I am eating healthily, it is just not right. I am otherwise enjoying the natural high cycling gives me.
The Brain of the Outfit.
Dear uterus,
Partly due to the pain you cause me each month (i.e. now), I am never having children (the other reason, of course being that I don't really like them) and therefore see no reason to suffer for a week each month. I hope to soon go to the doctor and change my contraception and get rid of that time altogether, as the past two months were bliss.
Me.
BFF's Husband,
You are doing so well, you don't know how proud we all are of you. I'm sorry I haven't been able to ask how you are, I didn't think you'd want to discuss it in front of everyone. I do care! It's so great to have you back, you were missed when you were hidden away all that week.
Boobs.
You,
I have looked out for you each night since we last spoke. I hope you're okay. And that we speak soon.
Sx
Driving Instructor,
Mostly you test my patience in often not believing in my ability to be able to do things. Particularly, reversing around corners, turns in the road, and parallel parking. As you have seen, I am perfectly capable of this. Yes, you did say "gears" to me more than once today, but I have only two hands, and can't steer, indicate and change gears all at once. Now can we please get some more work on uphill junctions, as I hate them. And the traffic lights at the bottom of town.
Thanks, a frustrated learner.
Lord,
Please help me to see the beauty in Mondays, and grant me patience on those days. Please help me see the good in everyone, and try not to get frustrated with people so easily. Please look after all the people I care about so dearly. And please don't let it rain until after 11am tomorrow morning, so I can get to work nice and dry.
Amen.
Dear VT Training,
Please can you make our meeting come around quicker, as I would really like to start my course before the beginning of August. Also please find a way for me to take my silver service, even if it means I have to do it outside of work, kthnx?
Your newest student.
Big Sis,
Thanks for our awesome long walk last Thursday. I can't believe it's less than a month that you're getting married to "that strange man", as your fiance put it the other day. He is awesome, just like you, I hope you're happy together forever and God blesses you with all his being.
lots of love, your little sister x

Five Senses Friday: Blogosphere Can Wait
because who wants to be inside when the weather is this beautiful?
Today has been so productive, its only 10.30am and I've already cleaned my bedroom, and by that I mean polished all the surfaces, including the top and back of the old style television I have and tops of picture frames. I also moved my bed and drawers out to hoover under there, so there is no dust, dirt, or dog hairs anywhere.
This morning I was supposed to go on a long walk with a friend, but she was a no show, and I decided to go half way up the hill with my dog. We would have gone further, but yesterday we walked a five mile circuit with my sister, and I'd already cycled 8 miles yesterday so I figure I get to relax today.
Blacksmiths Lane
Blue arrows mean Bridle Ways
Looking through the gate ways into other fields
Looking back on the village

Todays chosen outfit, twice because the first one doesn't show the pattern on my top.
And now for Five Senses Friday
Feeling:
Left out because lots of my friends have gone to Glastonbury Festival!
Tasting:
My delicious radishes, grown just by moi!
Hearing:
The birds singing, tractors engines, the occasional engine of an aeroplane overhead.
Smelling:
Fried onions from the hot dogs I had for dinner last night.
Seeing:
Green fields bursting with crops

Corner View: Noticing

I am noticing how my tomato plants suddenly have little green tomatoes on them, although probably not enough to make chutney like I had hoped (I will buy some, there are sure to be some around the village soon).
I am noticing how delicious my salad looks with my home grown baby radishes sat there on my plate. I am kind of addicted to growing my own vegetables. Although it is not making up for my want of chickens...

Visiting Lucy
We're going on a train, we're going on a train... it might look beautiful, but I was sneezing my head off. I love summer but this hayfever is destroying me.
Our 70p cocktails, delicious
Lucy!!!
My favourite room in their house, I spent the entire time swinging around on those chairs
Me sat in one of the awesome chairs
A note from Lucy's parents to all of us, the rest of them are Lucy's siblings! This weekend just passed I went up to see Lucy at her own home in Swindon. Usually when I go to see her it is at uni. Lucy and her boyfriend picked me up from the station, after my 2hr long journey and we hung out for the night.
I caught up with her Mum, Mary when Luc got ready to go out. We went for an Indian, and I chose Tandoori Duck, it was incredible, much more delicious than I thought. Tandoori is my favourite type of Indian food, since I don't like too much sauce on anything. We chatted and drank cola's, before going to visit Jemma, Lucy's younger sister at work.
We had a couple of cocktails each and they were delicious, we had Woo Woo's followed by K Sizzle. They were yummy delicious, then we moved on to Vodka Cokes, when Mattie arrived, Lucy's brother. It was awesome to see everyone and catch up. We left by 11 and went home to bed, all tired, and Lucy had work early the following morning.
I enjoyed a lay in, whilst Luc got up to go to work. Jem and Mattie slept longer than I did and I had the house to myself, I wondered around and made myself some toast, with delicious marmalade on it. I read the note left for all of us from Lucy's parents, and wrote a short note back, before retiring to the swinging chairs in the kids room.
When Lucy finished work we wandered around Wanborough and looked at the million pound houses, whilst Jemma had the car and was still at school. Just before I had to get my train home Lucy took me to TK Maxx, I have never been there. I love it, it's amazing. I bought some awesome Pilgrim sunglasses (pics to come, I promise)! Then Lucy dropped me to the station, although we got lost, and I was late, but so was my train so it all worked out. I hope to go and see everyone again soon, its a long summer!

Tiger loves Molly.

Today I didn't feel like doing anything, I woke up only 45 minutes before I had to leave for work in need of a shower and a dog that wanted walking. Usually in the mornings I pull my clothes and flip flops on, stick the iPod (the only "i" gadget I own, thank you) down my top, and blank the world whilst trundling around the village. Particularly in the mornings, I didn't finish work until 11.30pm, last night, so do expect me to be a little more tired than you in the mornings!
First stop, the recreation field, much to the dismay of various sporting types who try to tell us it is a sports field (it is not) and we can't take our dogs down there. Although foxes, badgers and various bad dog owners give some of us a bad name by not clearing up after themselves. At the bottom I spied a skinny collie running around with a young girl; Molly Do and Tegan!
Tiger went running across the field, towards Molly and Tegan, which ended in a Tiger and Molly heap with both dogs excited to see each other. Molly and Tiger ran up and down the field together, Molly occasionally coming back with a stick, until we got around to the top of the field when we all walked out separate ways.
Later in the afternoon, after a shift where I was slightly drowsy, and not entirely with it; and possibly thinking about walking the dog followed by curling up and going to sleep.. Tiger and I walked back down the rec, eyes hidden by huge sunglasses, and headphones in my ears, ready to continue ignoring much of what was going on. Until I got to the field, and there stood Molly, and Ann. Tiger went running towards them and I followed behind removing my headphones, and putting my sunglasses on my head.
Both Tegan and Ashley, both of Ann's children, were in the field with their friends playing various games, and we left them there and headed up the lane for some quiet time. The most enjoyable time with friends is that which is unexpected, no? We followed the lane until we got to the hard climb up to the top of Lillington Hill and turned and went home talking about work, and birthday's and having a good time whilst the two dogs bounced around the lane with each other.
And now I am hoping Tiger will sleep well tonight after two walks with his favourite girl dog, today! No 4.30am wake up calls tomorrow.
PS- I have become addicted to tumblr
PPS- My comments are no longer moderated, I switched because I was getting adverts for shoes or something, which was rather annoying, but they appear to have stopped now.
PPPS- Wasn't England truly rubbish yesterday?

You know you live in the country when (part 2)
people leave objects such as doors and bird tables lent against their hedges with price tags on them, and a note that reads "For Sale, please post money through letterbox". How trusting!

Corner View: From Where I'm Sitting
beer garden of the pub i work inFrom where I'm sitting I can see umbrellas, and tables, daisies and buttercups, an overgrown pets area where the ducks used to live. I can see spiders crawling through the grass and ants darting around. I can see thunder bugs pitching up my arms as I type. I can see the sunshine glaring down, it has returned now the bank hoiliday weekend no longer looms. .
From where I'm sitting I can hear birds singing their songs and car engines whizzing past. I can hear the sounds of my boss and his children playing in the garden. I hear jets passing by reaching sonic boom levels.
From where I'm sitting the world sounds pretty hectic!
